Interest on Lawyers Trust Account
What is it and how does it work?
An IOLTA account is a trust account that transfers the interest earned on the balances to the state bar to be used for charitable purposes, primarily the provision of legal services for less priviledged people (handling issues such as landlord/tenant issues, custody disputes, and advocacy for people with disabilities).
